There is indeed a local pick-your-own blueberry farm right nearby - only about 20 minutes from the house! Yippee! We were there this morning and picked 4 pounds. Hot work, but well worth it as I have bags of berries in the freezer now. :) Takes a lot longer to fill a bucket with blueberries than it does strawberries. They are open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 7am-noon. Leave me a comment or email me if you want the details.

i'm not a big fan of blueberries but the kiddos love them! how much do they charge per lb? this would be fun to do with the kids...they LOVE picking fruit! thanks for the post!
